21-year-old Chidinma Ojukwu has been remanded by a court in Lagos, over the alleged murder of Super TV CEO, Michael Usifo Ataga.


Magistrate Adeola Adedayo of the Lagos State Magistrate Court in Yaba ordered the remand of the 300 level UNILAG student and also one Adedapo Quadri for 30 days following an application of the police counsel.


The police prosecutor, Cyril Ajifor, told the court that the application was made pursuant to section 264 subsections 1 and 2 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, at the hearing for the remand application on Monday, August 9.


Ruling on the application, the magistrate said that In the absence of any opposition, the two defendants are hereby remanded for 30 days in the first instance. The case is adjourned till September 5, for review of remand/DPP’s advice.”
